| Celebrations for Goorambat trio |
Monique played her 150th game at Longwood back on Saturday 10 May and was the first Goorambat netball player to achieve 150 games.
Amelia Gall played her 150th game on Saturday 24 May at Swanpool.
Kelsey played her 100th game on Saturday 7 June when the team travelled to Bonnie Doon.
This is the first week the team has been at home to be able to celebrate in traditional style with a congratulatory banner for each young lady.
Between the three girls, who all now play together in A Grade, 400 games have been racked up.
In earlier years the girls have all played in grand finals and been part of great Premiership teams.
It takes years of dedication to amass these big numbers of games particularly in short seasons.
This is a wonderful experience for a small club in a small country league to have netball players play that number of matches.
It is commendable to see the commitment and team spirit these young women have shown to play with the one club for such a long period of time.
Their names will be inscribed on the Honour Board at the Clubrooms in due course.

| Goorambat's Kelsey Moss reaches 100 games |
 |
Kelsey Moss played her 100th game of netball on Saturday when her club travelled to Bonnie Doon.
She joined the Goorambat Club in 2001, aged just eleven. This was a year before she was officially old enough to play. But she trained with the girls through the winter months. At the end of the season the club presented her with a special award to acknowledge her dedication to the club. The following year, 2002, as soon as she turned 12, she joined the C grade team and had three years in the team before progressing to B grade. In 2003 she won her club's Best and Fairest trophy and the League's Best and Fairest award for C grade. She was also the League's highest goal shooter for that grade. In 2004, still in C grade aged 14, she again won the League's and her Club's Best and Fairest award and again was the best shooter in the League. In 2005 she was elevated to B grade and was the League's highest B grade shooter. In 2006 she was the runner up for the Best and Fairest for her club. In 2007 she won the trophy for the goal shooting at the League's presentation night.
This season Kelsey has made the move up to play A grade netball. She is continuing her good form in the ring and around the court. (By Meredith Tolliday) |
