Benalla's Anzac Day march and ceremony again atttracted an excellent attendance
Nearing the end of the march, the Royal Australian Navy. HMAS Benalla was built at Williamstown during World War 2. Although classified as a minesweeper, it was fitted for survey duties.

Benalla College captains (from left) Samantha Mundy, Peter Schneider and Julia Oakley laid a wreath on behalf of their school.
Benalla East Primary School honoured Australia's Servicemen and Servicewomen by laying a wreath.
John Gallagher, aged 88, was POW in Europe during World War 2. He made many escapes but was repeatedly recaptured. John lives in Benalla and is cared for by Joan Meikle.
The symbolism of the poppy in commemorating Australia's war-dead lives on.
Attending the ceremony at the memorial was a broad cross-section of age groups paying tribute to the Anzacs.
