TATONG CENTENARY
Tatong Football Club 1908 Premiers
Since its inception in 1908, numerous
premierships have been won and this club
has been a focal point of Tatong
The crown gathered and footballers and netballers
from Tatong and Goorambat assembled for the
ceremony marking 100 years of sporting prowess
in Tatong
Club President Keir Larter paid tribute to the club's
accomplishments both on the field and in
the community
John Macklin, President of the Benalla & District
Football & Netball League congratulated the club on
achieving this remarkable milestone
Barry Lewis, Chairperson of the Centenary
Committee, asked for one minute's silence in
commemoration of past players
Joanne Rigbye completed the ceremony with a
spirited rendition of "Advance Australia Fair"
One hundred years on and the big men are still
flying at the Tatong Recreation Reserve
